Condolence & Memory Journal

Sweet Aubrey! Your celebration of life service service was truly the most beautiful service I have ever attended. Knowing we were worshiping your King while you were at His feet was the most beautiful feeling. Your family is incredible! I was blessed to hear from your precious husband, Kevin, brother and college friends today. I learned that I was one lucky homeschool friend to have been a part of your life for a few years. See you in Heaven sweet friend!

I am a friend of Aubrey's sister, Leigh Ann. Although I didn't know Aubrey, through Leigh Ann I came to understand the challenges facing Aubrey. My prayer is that every family will step up to the plate as this family has when faced with a tough diagnosis. You all have demonstrated the agape love taught by our Lord Jesus. It has been said that some people come into our lives as blessings and others as a lesson. You all have been both to me.

John - Reading through the memory book, it is obvious that Aubrey and your family are loved by many. Your lovely bride is in glory now. But remember, you are not alone. Allow your brothers and sisters in Christ to come alongside and help carry your burden. May the Lord bless and keep you.

When someone we love becomes a memory that memory becomes a treasure...so thankful for the treasure chest of love and kindness that Aubrey oozed onto others.

Dear John and family, the Seifer family joins with so many others in expressing our condolences for Aubrey's passing. While we celebrate her release from suffering, we pray for God's immeasurable love, comfort, strength, peace, and--yes--joy to envelope and carry you all through this season of grief and transition. I (Amy) count it a privilege to have known Aubrey since those long-ago days as singles in Dothan. Aubrey has continually inspired me as a wife, mother and daughter of the King of Kings. She was an amazing woman--continuing to reach out in love and care for those around her, even in the midst of her own suffering. Well done, good and faithful (and beautiful) servant! Love from Amy, Patrick and Abigail

Dear John and family,
It has been a blessing, honor and privilege to pray for Aubrey, you and your family these past years. We will continue to pray for all who knew and loved this beautiful woman of God. Her faith inspired us. She leaves a great legacy...but the most important one is she lived for the cause of Christ. May God give you all his great comfort and peace that passes ALL understanding. May He continue to be your all-in-all.
With much love,
Lloyd and Renee

John - I have thought about you and Aubrey more times than you will ever know over the last two years. The courageous battle that you and Aubrey fought together has given me strength, hope, and tranquility - and for that I give thanks to you. Know that Lauri and I will be with you and your family tomorrow as you celebrate Aubrey' life. At sunset on McKay's Beach we will do as we do every evening - give thanks and a toast to the wonderful gifts that the Lord gives us each day, so that we never take them for granted. Peace, my friend.

When I think of Aubrey my first thought is of her devotion to her children and her desire to help them follow the path that God has for them. Our first common bond was our children and homeschooling. We became connected by that, but then we became friends. I'm thankful that I was privileged to know Aubrey. Her faith and courage has been an inspiration to me. What a lovely person she was. Her influence will live on. Love you all, Roney family.

It's hard to express how much this precious friend will be missed. The Lord brought us together as employees at a little deli in Auburn in 1983 and we were fast friends. I shared with Aubrey that I was looking for some godly young women to live with and she invited me to join the group of roomies she was living with, even though the two of us had only known each other a few weeks. God was orchestrating a friendship and sisterhood that would make my life abundantly more rich than it ever would've been without having met her. 30+ years of "iron sharpening iron". Aubrey was one of the strongest, yet most gentle, people I've ever met. I love her so. I'm so thankful she is now walking, skipping, bouncing, praising God in wholeness for eternity. Praying the Lord's strong, loving arms around John, Kevin, Brian, Katie, Sean, Mr. Scott, Leigh Ann, Carol and Rich, and so many other family and friends.

Although I never met Mary, I have worked with John and thought very highly of his professionalism and work at Lockheed Martin and his support for the U.S. Marine Corps, KC-130 Community and NAVAIR, PMA-207, KC-130 Divison. My prayers go out to Mary, John and the entire Roney family. And I trust she'll be looking down upon the family from Heaven awaiting the day when the family will be rejoined. Deepest sympathies. In so many ways Aubrey inspired others with her outward Christian life that was clearly driven by a deep inward Relationship with our Lord and Savior. Her trust in God through thick and thin was obvious. We will miss Aubrey. I am so glad to have known her.

John, I enjoyed reading this brief life-story of Aubrey. She lived a wonderful life and met the right guy along the way. I didn't realize you (John) are from Yorba Linda. I'm friends with the Stredlers and Vacchers, so we have some other mutual connections, I'm sure. Thank you for sharing this through facebook. Best wishes to you and your whole family. Aubrey was a one of a kind person...so kind, gentle, and the sweetest smile. We are very blessed that God allowed our paths to cross with the Roney family in our homeschool years. Our prayers will continue to be with you.

I learned a few things! Didn't know her first name was Mary and didn't know y'all married in Fairhope, AL! My Mary Grace is going to AU this fall. I always think of Aubrey when I hear Auburn. Relishing the days when we were all young marrieds and I'll never forget when Kevin was born- the first among "us friends" to have a baby. I will miss my dear Aubrey. We love your family and are here for you always.
