Tribute & Message From The Family

Ms. Carolyn June Clark-Causey, aged 72, passed away in Cedartown, Ga. on the morning of September 19, 2017. Carolyn was born an only child to the late Bob and Myrtis Clark on January 27, 1945 in Villa Rica, Ga. She grew up in Austell, Ga. in Cobb County and attended school there. She lived in Austell and Villa Rica for the majority of her life. She never lived outside of Georgia as she always wanted to remain close to her ancestry. She was a homemaker for most of her life and for many years she was a caregiver to her ailing mother. Additionally, she held jobs in various capacities such as a clothing inspector and steam press operator at Melbon Sewing, in Hiram, Ga.; she cleaned offices with an Austell Janitorial Service; and she worked on the Janitorial staff at Parkway Regional Hospital in Lithia Springs. She was a rebel in many ways but more notably, she was a strong woman. A fighter and a survivor who never gave up on the things that she believed in or loved. She was funny and had a great sense of humor. She also loved Southern Rock & 70's era music, live concerts, going out to the movies, playing darts, vacationing at the beach and her dogs. Most of all, she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her companion of 25 years, Edgar Lee Nicholson. She is survived by her Four Children – Larry Causey Jr., Keith Causey, Leif Causey, and Kathy Causey; Stepchildren - Christel Nicholson Morris and DeLayne Nicholson; Grandchildren – Joshua Causey, Jessi Causey, Randell Causey, Jarrett Causey, Haley Butler, Keat Butler and Anthony Causey. Great Grandchildren – Jacob, Bryson, Leland, Laith, and Sunni. Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill is managing the arrangements. She will be cremated and her ashes interred alongside her parents in Villa Rica, Ga. The Cemetery Interment Service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 4th @ 10am at Hillcrest Cemetery located on Hillcrest Drive, Villa Rica, Georgia with Dr. Sam Clark officiating. The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Jennifer Jarvis and staff at Southern Cremations and Funerals. A very special thank you to all of our sweet and kind friends of the family.
