Ellionora Maomi Holmes "Molly", daughter of the late Mr. Elsob Ndlovu and Mrs. Petronella "Maggie" Ndlovu, was born July 3, 1942 in the Deepdale, South Africa. She was preceded in death by Mathias Ndlovu and sister Sylvia Zimu of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
She received her formal education in the Natal school system of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and received a nursing degree from Edendale Hospital in Pietermaritzburg. She then went on to receive a Psychiatric specialization at the Texas Women's University.
At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and later became a member of The Radiant Life Assembly of God church in Marietta, Georgia.
She moved to Europe, then New York City, New York, and settled in Houston, Texas as a young, driven woman. Eventually she moved to Cobb County Georgia and worked at Cobb County Public Health until she retired in 2013. She assisted many family and friends from South Africa, and beyond, accomplish their dreams of moving to the US. Always loving to stay busy, she touched everyone's heart through laughter, memorable travels, and unconditional care for others. Until her last peaceful days, she continued to put a smile on her face which infectiously always gave others comfort.
On Monday, April 3, 2017, our Heavenly Father called – Ellionora Maomi Holmes- from her earthly labors to God's Eternal Heavenly Kingdom.
She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted brother and sister, Boniface Mncwabe, of Empangeni, South Africa and Mildred Ndlovu (Elephant) of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa ; three children, Gregory Ndlovu of, Nassau, Bahamas, Melissa Alexander of Atlanta, Georgia and Saidi Ally Bakari of Atlanta, Georgia; three granddaughters, Tiera Ndlovu, Tyler Ndlovu, and Gabriella Alexander; daughter – in-law Thyra Treco and son – in -law Alex Alexander: along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
